Ever wondered how sweet my daughter is?...

Tonight, after reading a few books. I told her to get ready for bed. Mykah was sleeping on the couch next to us. She says "wait mommy... I have to say Prayers for Mykah so the angels can watch over him." Yes... pure sweetness. :o)

She adores her brother. Usually a day doesn't pass that she isn't singing or talking to him. She makes up little songs with his name in them. Its cute.

And don't even get me started on how he looks at her. WOW! I don't think I have ever seen more love in the eyes of a baby. Truely a perfect pair.

Well... got homework to do. And a workout to do... and some Sex and the City to watch! haha
(also considering changing my URL... but don't know yet.)

Back in the swing. . .

I have got to get back in the swing of things. I have use to be so great about posting pictures and updates, but lately I just don't have it in me. I still TAKE pictures, but rarely do I post them to flickr any more. And when was the last time I actually did an update on either child? I guess now that I have 2 children, and am still in school and still working I just don't force myself to find the time. That really has to change. There are so many little things that I REALLY don't want to forget.

Got to get bck in it!...

Thinking more about using this site again.

Well, we all know flickr has been like my second home! Most of our lives have been documented there. For some reason uploading videos has been a pain lately. Looking for other options for our videos cause im sure everyone is wanting to see those as much as pictures.

So, lets see how this site works with uploading videos. Will try more later. Just wanting to see how this does. :o)

We had a great weekend

We had a great weekend

While I contemplate picking this blog back up… figured I would work on linking my blog and my flickr… to make this a little easier. Let’s see how this works.

just about three years later

It has been so long since I have blogged here. I have read through it and kinda miss this thing! Since I have joined flickr I have spent most of my time putting pictures there and leaving tid-bits of my life there. Kinda debating whether I should pick this back up...

Happy Easter!

And a great easter it was! Makayla doesn't understand the concept yet, but she had a great day. It sort of started at daycare last week. She had a ice cream party and a easter egghunt that Duncan and I both attended. He was able to come back for the weekend and it just so happened to be Easter weekend so that was great. Kayla was of course was loving it. She didn't want to give him any space and he didn't mind.
Here is our girl tearing up some ice cream. She just learned to use a spoon so she wanted to eat it out of the cone with a spoon. All of the other kids were going at it with out the spoon, but not my little girl.

Here she is showing off for her dad. She had these two eggs and was completly satisfied with that.

We tried so hard to get her to pick the eggs up and put them in the basket, but she wouldn't hear of it. All she needed was her 2 eggs.

Today we lounged around the house all day. We planned on going to church, but that didn't work out. We did the whole egg coloring thing and gave her a basket. Her basket had books, DVDs, elmo toys, and ducks in it. Of course she reached in and grabbed one duck and that was all she wanted. This little girl is way to easy to please.
As we have all noticed, Duncan has a habit of buying Makayla the biggest stuffed animals he can find. This is the duck that made the cut for this easter. He was to big to fit in the basket, so he hung out on my swing until she found him.Image hosting by Photobucket
Here she is pulling that purple duck out of the basket. She makes us laugh. We run around the store finding all this stuff that she would love and spend all this money on all if it, then she pulls out the cheapest thing we put in there and is completly happy with that.Image hosting by Photobucket
And of course she loves her purple duck. Here she is making out with it!Image hosting by Photobucket
I'm not really sure why she looks scared in this picture. It must be something about that bush. I know why I don't like the bush. I have to keep it neatly trimmed or I get "nasty-grams" in my mail box about it!

The weather out here has been crazy. We have thunder storms in the mornings, then hot sun in the afternoons. We finally had to break down and pull tags off of our shorts and pull out the sun screen and sun glasses.

Hope you all had a great Easter! There are more pictures on the flickr site.
